Many thanks to all the members of the Association who attended the above.

As usual it was a good day to meet up with shipmates and an opportunity to pay our respects to the members of the armed forces who gave their lives for our freedom’s today.

Thankfully the weather was kind to us and my thanks go to Jonathan for the arrangements on the day.

  1. Oh ruddy hell we have not got to do the MINES BIGGER THAN YOURS all over again have we.

Bad enough doing it in the dhobey house in 1962. It may not be good to do on Horse Guards parade.
    Lovely to meet you Pete.

    Cheers Andy

  2. On behalf of my wife and myself I would like to thank all the members attending the march past on 10 November at the Cenotaph in London. It was my first parade some 69 years after leaving St Vincent, and I was proud to wear the hat and march with my colleagues. To all association members who have not done the march past on Remembrance Day I thoroughly recommend they do it. The atmosphere is fantastic, the crack and the camaraderie unbelievable, it’s great so do it. I hope to attend next year and I’ll grow up and have my own flask ! Thanks everybody for making us (my wife and I) so welcome and my wife says especially to the support team (the wives) who made her so welcome. Thanks Peter Colby 1957 to 58 Anson 501 ships boat no 8140. ps.Can iI borrow the hat again next year ??
